Christopher Nolan is no longer directing Superman.  He helped write it but he bailed out because he wanted to focus on Batman.  It is being directed by Zack Snyder, the guy who directed 300 I'm pretty sure.

I agree with most of your sentiments, especially about Thor. I find him cheap and a silly addition into the Marvel Universe. All the other characters at least protend to be original(although many are based on Norse and Greek Gods).

I don't agree with Robin, or at least think you should specify WHICH Robin....there were 3(4 if you count that one girl,5 if you count Bruce's merderous son). The original being Dick Grayson, I find him to be one of the best elements in the Batman Universe. If you have ever seen Dexter, Batman and Robin's relationship is basically the template of him. Robin was Bruce's apprentice, to continue his legacy. Dick is the first and to my knowledge only side kick to ever split from their master and become his own. Nightwing kicks major ass!Batman thought Dick to be a failed attempt to embody everything he beleived in but during the "Battle of the Cowls" after Bruce's death Grayson proved to be the most devote of Batman's entourage, dawning the mask himself.
