Christopher Nolan is no longer directing Superman.  He helped write it but he bailed out because he wanted to focus on Batman.  It is being directed by Zack Snyder, the guy who directed 300 I'm pretty sure.

He is producing it, and apparently, he is having a lot of creative input.

But the director of 300? Ugh.

He directed Watchmen too!!!! Let's not forget that Hans Zimmer is making the music for the film. That itself should confirm the awesomeness of the film.
