There is zero reason to burn corn unless their is a farm subsidy to burn it.

Maybe your confusing it with Crop residue burning?

Crop residue burning when they burn everything left AFTER they've picked the crops.

I don't think farmers have burned actual sellable crops since the government forced them to do so in the 1940's.
