If I say that the world is going to end, IF it doesn't then I'll look like a moron. If it does then it wont matter because i'll never be able to brag about it as i'll be dead.

If I say the world isn't going to end, then even if it does end it wont matter because I'll never be proven wrong; everybody will be dead. If the world doesn't end then I'll be worshipped as a hero among men.

Why does it even matter that much? Not the end of the world or anything
