Did the Wii U force Sony to cut how much power the PS4 will have?

I really think it would be best for everyone if all consoles were basically the same graphically as the Wii U. The jump to HD took out alot of devs, much more then any gen I believe, and Sony and Microsoft have yet to recover the losses they made on their HD twins. and quality of games (IMO) were not nearly as good gameplay wise as previous gens. sure there were a few gems here and there, but on average i felt that we weren't getting as good games as we used to. so for the 8th gen they should improve on the experience, which seems to be what is happening with the Wii U. hopefully the PS4/720 will follow.
