It is a discussion that could see both sides having merit and being subjective in values placed on aspects of gaming.
I would say diversity is always a good thing and experimentation should be encouraged. Visually, narratively, or in the mechanics of the game. I completely understand how this might turn some mind sets off, but I for one am glad to see something that surprises me and excites aout potential of the medium.
