Also would like to add that 90-98 makes no difference to YOU. But in general, one wants to see their favourite franchise and developer be recieved well. I know I died a little inside of joy when Uncharted 2 got 96 and bombarded with awards. Like I wasn't alone in loving the game beyond a lot and ND eventually was able to split in two teams and seems like getting much more freedom from Sony. Its just ..what you want. Its a shame scores have that influence, we can really just accept it. Its not in our hands.
But by no means does it mean anything to you as a individual. I wont enjoy a game any less were it to be 60 meta or 90 meta. Either its shit or its good in my mind. But like mentioned: We are rather dedicated about games and discuss them nearly as much as we play! We just care too much.
