And just because an app claims to run on tablets doesn't mean it was designed for tablets. Often, after you download an app you'll discover that it's ugly or nearly useless because it was designed for a 4-inch screen. The frustrating discovery process is one reason our software desk was able to come up with a list of The 100 Best iPad Apps but only 12 great Android tablet apps.

 

Also no LTE on the Nexus 4 and only being available in 8gb or 16gb configurations with no SD card slot.

 

 

I hope you realize that a 6 month old article has little to do with the situation now as app development is much much faster than game development for instance.

Personally I had a 7'' android 4.0x tablet (cheap ainol novo 7 fire/flame china tablet) here for some days at the start of october and it really ran fine and there was no problem with any of the apps I tried. The reason I returned it was a lack of quality when using the HDMI and that the touchscreen didn't work well with a capacitive stylus.
