I agree that the majority certainly have, but you do realize that tens of thousands of people around the world every day are buying their first games console, don't you?
Considering that GTA5 isn't even released yet, it's not absurd to assume that many new console owners - yes, even potential WiiU owners - may have an interest in the game.

Very true, hence why they would probably opt for the PS360 and or PC if they wanted to play GTA. THis isnt some new franchise and people arent that ignorant. They know GTA and they know what consoles play those. Not saying that a Wii U wouldnt do ok.
|
Right, but that's my point: If that WiiU logo were on those GTA5 ads alongside PS360, it would at least give the console a fighting chance for a non-loyal, new console buyer who is interested in the game to buy one.
Instead, this consumer will just assume that the game isn't coming to WiiU, and it also makes a statement for future 3rd party offerings for the console; that's what I'm more concerned with as I don't personally care about GTA, but in obtaining it, it bodes well for WiiU's future with other 3rd parties.

Thats just it, R* doesnt give a crap about giving Wii U a fighting chance. And they shouldnt, its not their responsibility.
Again, thats not R* responsibility, and besides this isnt the Wii. Wii U is already getting better 3rd party support. Wii U is GOING to miss some games, thats just the way it is.

I'm not necessarily pointing the finger at R* as to why it's not launching on WiiU alongside the other versions. My point is that there's no good reason for it as the system is certainly capable of running it.
Typically, 3rd parties welcome multiplatform environments as it means more sales for them - assuming the porting process is easy (which it supposedly is fairly easy for WiiU).
