I think your underestimating how strong nintendo's influence can be with this. Microsoft was desperate to push ea, activision, capcom, square enix, konami etc onto 360 and successfully pulled it off.

The thing nintendo has going for it that microsoft didn't at the time is they are a safe bet to do well considering their long success with systems. This will be on wii u. Even if it isn't confirmed in the magazine I still think it will end up on it. Nintendo are not stupid. They have a year head start and know they need this game

Nintendo affinity on here seems to assume a lot. That Nintendo will have the success of last gen rather than the success of the previous two gens. And that there is a substantial amount of Nintendo console  only game players that are increadibly eager to pick up this franchise only when it goes to Nintendo. Shifting sales from console A and B to console C does not help Rockstar at all. It only helps them if it creates new consumers. My assumption is that R* does not think porting it to Nintendo will create new consumers, rather it will only shift which system the game is bought on. PC, 360 and PS3 make up all of the HD market right now and until this new HD Ninty console gains a big market share porting it to Nintendo does not make huge sense. Now, as i mentioned I do see it as a possible late port, but I see no reason for this to happen unless Ninty actually makes the Wii U a real success. That is still not proven.
