You say Windows RT is overpriced. Yet its directly made to compete with the IPAD. It is priced exactly the same, yet as more functionality. It was never designed to use normal Legacy X86 apps. That is why the Pro exists.

My point is the following.

For exactly the same price as the IPAD 4, you can get a device that does more.

If you want a tablet that gives you a full Desktop experience also you can spend more money and get a Pro.

RT is priced and designed to compete against the IPAD. Which it does more.

Pro is for those who waited for tablets to do desktop everyday tasks.

Eiter way theres no clouding of the issue, and if anyting the IPAD is now made to look extremely overpriced.

 

Firstly I was stating that I reckon the majority of tablet users only want a tablet for email, web, video and games. Yes there will be a proportion that wants a tablet for more, but it will be a minority.

The Windows RT version of Surface is very modestly specced. A low resolution screen, low resolution cameras, a Tegra 3 processor, the same as the Nexus 7 with poor to reasonable graphics capability compared to the iPad.

The Windows 8 Pro version of Surface is a totally different kettle of fish. But it's likely to be nearly double the price.
