The App Store is all the iPad needs. It's the most well-formed, fully-stocked store platform on the market by a country mile. What more do you need to know about it?
The A5X and the A6X have virtually nothing in common. While the iPad 3 specced decently against the competition, the iPad 4 is going to be a fucking monster while also being very battery-efficient. Right now, Apple's ARM chips are the best processors on the market. Apple just changed the game by short-shrifting the iPad 3's life cycle. Now everybody has to play catch-up and the Surface isn't running the hardware to do it and it doesn't have the software to compensate. The only competitor at this point will be the much-rumored Nexus 10.
