In the future, the Surface may very well do more than the iPad. Right now (and in the foreseeable future), the opposite is true. The iPad does far more at this point than the Surface.

The iPad is expensive, not overpriced. The iPad 4 is going to annihilate every other tablet spec-wise, all for the same price (or similar). Most full-sized Android tablets start around $450. The Surface is $500. Compare the A6X processor, the Retina display, and the general form factor of the iPad to anything on the market and it makes the iPad look cheap by comparison.

If the iPad is overpriced, everything else on the market is ridiculously overpriced. Of course, I expect Google to change that soon with the Nexus 10 but that hasn't released yet...

I'm curious to understand what the Ipad does more now? Certainly reviews dont think so. The only thing is app store which to be honest the reviewers were made to look silly as on launch day as the windows marketplace trippled in 1 day. 

Your stating some specs in there which is fair enough if that matters to you more than its functions. But as far as form factor, So far although a nice A5x processor, cant do true multitasking and lost in 3/4 tests for efficiency and speed to Surface RT.
