Racing genre isn't doing very good right now.
But I guess it is possible. It all depends on what GT6 offers and how close/far it launches from PS4 release. It would do amazing in Europe no doubt. It's America I'm worried about.
Another Gran Turismo would definitely increase the PS3s life though! I'm sure Sony has been considering it.
