If you are going to ask this question then explain to everybody how you can continue God of War while making it relevant to the series

That's for the developers to decide. There's a reason I'm not a story writer; my creativity sucks and any story I imagine will suck as well. Same goes for any game series.

Well what would you like to know about Kratos that you already don't know? I'm going to use Mass Effect as an example.  It is pretty popular and they've already announced a 4th installment.  They don't need to use Shephard because the universe is huge and a lot of story can be told in that universe.  God of War on the other hand is just about some angry dude who wants to kill the gods.  He didn't have the chains until the first God of War game so a prequel to God of War would have to take place during the war that he fought to get those blades.  Before then he is just a mortal without blades.  There isn't anythng left to tell of Kratos.  If they make a sequel, what would it be about, unless somehow Zues and some of the other gods survived.  it would be like making a sequel to Gears of War 3.  I love gears and they left things unanswered but if they made a 4th it would be kind of hard to justify it because they've already killed the locust.  They are able to make prequels because there is a 14 year span from E-Day to gears of war 1 but a sequel wouldnt make sense (Although Judgement looks like complete garbage).  If you want a different mythology and different character they should just change the name and keep the same gameplay element.  They can always do a reboot years down the road as it is ery popular and it is fun.
