Damn Eurogamer for firing this hero. Now I have to boycot Eurogamer.

It's really a sad industry, gaming journalism. Such lack of integrity and treating us gamers like dumb sheep.

They didn't fire him, he quit, apparently without any bad blood towards Eurogamer (according to his twitter account anyway)

His position was made untennable and he had no real choice if he wanted to retain any self-respect. You can't carry on working for a business that forces substantial edits on your work due to unreasonable pressure and threats from outside. The piece was an expose on the seedy underbelly of gaming journalism, the purpose of an expose is to shine a light on bad stuff that;s been going on. To have some of the substance of an expose removed is as close to showing someone the door as you can get.
