If you want to be able to use any of the available Windows software currently available, then you're best to wait for the Pro version of tablets. Windows 8 RT applications right now are few and far between, and any emulators would need to be written and approved through Microsoft as RT solely relies on the Windows App Store for applications.
Windows 8 Pro tablets will be able to use most current applications available for Windows, plus a larger selection of applications through the Windows App Store.
