Sometimes SuperChunk you say some rather intelligent things, then there are these times.
What the Surface team is confirming is that both the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows (a wired USB controller) and the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver will work with Windows 8 RT and Windows 8 Pro. The former would allow you to connect the controller via USB to the tablet and it would work just fine, and the latter would allow you to use an Xbox 360 wireless controller by connecting the gaming receiver to the tablet via the USB port.
Both have been available since Windows XP and I agree this should have been expected and it's nothing new.

I think my post is fine. Maybe I'm coming accross as fanboyish, but that wasn't the intention.
My point was that using a 360 controller on a tablet (not PC as that's obviosly been there for awhile) is also available on Android since very recently. So if you don't want to use PS3/Wii controllers on those devices, you can now also use the 360 controller.
