Considering Surface does considerably more than an Ipad I would say if Surface is overpriced then IPad must be destroying the Ozone layer with its price.

The Ipad looks better though and is a fashion statement. 

Looks are of course subjective.

Value again is of course subjective too based on individuals requirements and experience with any tablet they purchase.
