The Balance Board is compatible with more than just Wii-Fit, FYI. Just like Kinect is an add-on compatible with more than just Kinect Adventure. Or like the Move controller can be used to control your PS3, just like Kinect does for the 360, yet isn't considered the primary controller for the PS3.

Your stance here is near the epitome of grasping at straw.

The Balance Board was made to for one game, and wasn't bundled heavily, that goes for Move as well. Why is it unfair to compare Kinect to the Wii Remote because it came with every Wii but fair to compare Kinect to the Balance Board when it wasn't bundled any where near as much?

It isn't fair because it isn't the primary controller for the console. It isn't the de-facto controller for the near entirety of the console's game collection. It is a peripheral, an add-on, that isn't core to the system's design. It is an option for the gamers, just like the Dancing Mats are for the kind of games tey support, or driving wheels, etc...

Just because Microsoft implemented Kinect well with its console, doesn't make it the primary controller.  The Wii can't work without a Wii-mote. A 360 works just fine without Kinect.
