Xxain said: I definitely agree, not for his reason though. GOW has 6 installments now? Very little has been done to shake this series up. Metal Gear is in z similar situation where they are doing anything to continue use "Snake", but Hideo Kojima always ups the ante on every Metal Gear he works, so am I gettin tired of Big Boss? Hell yea. Do I think MGS needs to move on? Hell yea, but as Kojima keeps raisin the bar its fine. Its not fine when a series is same damn game 6 installments in. Do something with it or be done with it. |
6 installments in 7 years (8 when Ascesnion actually comes out) isn't that bad considering 2 of them were PSP games which I assume don't take as long to develope. 9 Call of Duty's in 9 years (NOT including spin offs/handheld games). THAT needs to stop or at least take a break. But why would they when the franchise is so successful. Same goes to GOW.

um yea? The amount of installments is not the problem, but how little is done to chang e it up between releases.
So you're saying Call of Duty innovates more than God of War?
No. If your going to have a long running series of games, Make sure to change them up every once in awhile. Thats the point. Number of installments wont matter if it manages to stay fresh.
But that's my point. It does stay fresh. If you play God of War I all the way up to III you will notice the improvements made. Not only graphically but gameplay mechanics aswell. God of War I,II and III all have a metacritic of 92+.
