Two new facts about the iPad mini:
1. Despite having a 50% larger screen, it is thinner and lighter than any of the 7" competition.
2. Apparently it can get away with such a narrow bezel because the screen rejects accidental thumb presses. I'm always skeptical of "smart" software solutions like this, but if it works, it means a smaller device without reduced usability.
