I know it is a game, nearly everyone does, it is unwanted on there XMB there and obtrusive.

To you it is unwanted, but thankfully to the 99% of the ps3 fanbase who are not die hard gamers this free game might be welcomed. It goes with Sony's plan to cater for the casuals this christmas. When a parent buys a ps3 for the children with LBP, wonderbook or whatever, singstar will be an added bonus.

Nothing wrong with a free game, but why is it forced onto the XMB in that spot? DCUO is free, but need get that from the PS Store and when you download it you can put it into folders like every single other game, except this.
Since the firmware went live nearly all feedback has been negative in regards to the icon being there and non removable also.

The feedback is from gamers like us. The fucks Sony gives about us is zero because we have bought the ps3, ps+ and tonnes of games over the years. They need to now focus on the casual guys. As much as I might hate singstar staring at me on my XMB, this move by Sony is good and predictable. People will buy the Mics and their favourite artist off the store when they see the game staring at them on the XMB.
EDIT: my bad, you don't actually need a mic if you have the PS eye.....NICE
