Also remember that the WiiU uses an average 40W (as per Nintendo). That is pretty low for driving a 45nm 3GHz (I'd guess the real clock rate is lower) CPU, an advanced 45nm GPU, another (?nm ?multicores) Arm CPU, 2G Ram (and supposedly there is a DSP making the sound as per rumours). The power envelope currently does not fit the list at all. |
Very good points. I'll still leave it as rumors considering the many neogaf devs that mentioned it. Though, you have to remember we have only seen one side of the board. (btw, the gpu and cpu are on the same large MCM substrate you see in the pics)
