I think "Generic Democrat" vs "Generic Republican" spreads would be pretty much the same almost anywhere. Europe generally focuses on lack of US healthcare and low tax rates and see's republicans as "unlike them" ignoring areas they share with conservatives such as general economic handling policy. (While they have more government spending their reactions to recessions and such are more conservative then republicans are.)

While the middle east and asia likely see's your average republican as more likely to bomb them.

The only outlier may be Africa, where he might gain support since the president wouldn't be black. Since George W Bush actually became the biggest supporter of Africa when it comes to aid in US history. (Obama has actually gone backwards in the regard.)

I'm fairly certain you overrate people's knowledge of US politics...

Maybe, but in general I believe, despite what people know or don't... worldwide there is generally an opinion hat is more or less "Republicans = Bad"  "Democrats = Not Republican."
