I think the good idea would be waiting for AMD to include the ARM part into their chips then use those once they have a lower power consumption version since the embedded GPU is better than what Intel can offer and it would be able to run ARM based apps and x86 based apps at the same time. I understand that it's really for security purposes that AMD is adding the ARM part into their APUs but I don't see why it can't run ARM based apps at a slower pace too, it'd be the best thing to get for compatibilty and good performance. |
Yeah that could work. AMD needs something to work for them at this point to enter the tablet space. I think there is just 1 AMD based Win 8 tablet being released with the Z-60 chip...By Fujitsu.
