Still not necessarily confirmed at this point since the guy writing that article couldn't access the report which says it, but it certainly seems likely. And I don't blame them really - more money is more money, and they seem like a really excellent company so they deserve it. I hope they continue developing for Vita in the future as well as 3DS, but I guess we'll see. |
They won't abandon Sony, no way.
Along with Nippon Icchi I think they're the most loyal developer to playstation of all - at least from the one's that matters. But yeah, money is money.
I'm quite indignated about the japanese situation for Vita, as it's the easiest market to fix (and by far). It's so simple, in fact, and they're letting it enter complicated territory. Fixing japan, fixes almost anything when we talk about portables, imo. I think I get the fame here, but the day Vita gets a exclusive Monster Hunter (or similar game - exclusive final fantasy, dragon quest or a stream of big games made for it) is the day I get a vita, as its the day I think Vita is on the right track. I'm very curious about Soul Sacrifice performance, as it can start something, even though it's too much responsibility for one game they're putting - as Killzone, sly and tearaway won't do nothing in japan). I'm also very excited by these new set of teasers, since people is speculating FF stuff. Even little things like Cloud in PASBR would make a difference in Vita's overall performance in japan.
Vita/Sony shouldn't be making companies like Falcom do this, that's my point here. Multiplats are good, but a system needs exclusives more than anything. It's what made the last portable gen amazing.
