Are you asking a question or making a statement? Hardcore gamers can easily play Mario and still call them hardcore. To me, hardcore is about playing more games and perhaps a bit more "advanced" (that is, harder to learn) games compared to casuals. Casuals can play both Just Dance and Mario as well. Mario is really for everyone. |
The first sentence is a statement (using a certain definition of hardcore), and the last one is a question.
I was using the term hardcore to describe those called "adult" in this post of your "Evidence That Nintendo is Not Serious About the Hardcore". I guess this is what happens when everyone uses his own definition of hardcore.

I think you nailed it when the "adult" thing. I've been saying that for YEARS. Nintendo delivers "core" titles, such as Metroid and Zelda. No one can deny that. But what they fail at is ADULT games. Games like Halo, Dead Space, GTA etc. They have NEVER been able to make games that the majority of grown men want to play. They have NEVER developed games with sex, drugs, violence and blood. Every game they release is pretty much kid safe, and that turns a lot of grown up people away from their systems. They think Nintendo, and then think "children". They think Sony, and they think "adult". |
I would find shocking to see those grown men playing Nintendo games on their PC.
