Why I think Nintendo left out cross game chat

I wouldn't go that far but considering the original xbox had a seperate headset for voice communication only in 2001/2, (not sure about ps2) that's a pretty poor move by Nintendo, especially considering they have said they're going to try to bring back the core gamers... A casual gamer wouldn't use the headset anyway...

Why not? There are many different types of casual gamers. There's the Call of Duty gamer, and the Just Dance gamer. Completely different.

The Call of Duty gamer will use a headset, the Just Dance gamer won't.
