The question is: can video games ever have a Citizen Kain? Gameplay is always evolving, getting better because of hardware. Movies don't have that problem. You can only find new ways to film your movies, but you're not restricted in the same way as games. OoT was such a leap, as was Mario 64, that they stood out in their time - just like the original Super Mario Bros. They could stand out because of the hardware they were on.
That's a massive difference.
