PS3 YLOD chance?

My 80GB Fat is doing the same thing after almost 4 years of hard playing (I have 2 brothers and we take turns to play). It flash a yellow light then a red light and then turns itself off, after a system recovery it works fine again.

Im thinking about buying a 12GB PS3 or maybe going all digital.
