Nintendo (stupidly) tried to have Metroid Prime follow in Halo's footsteps, twice. Metroid Prime 2's multiplayer was a non-starter, while Metroid Prime Hunters is often disregarded as a Metroid game altogether.

Metroid is metroid. Not Halo.
