It's a matter of opinion and in my opinion there is nothing wrong with it.
Back in the 1930s Germany many members of "The Cult of Health and Beauty" and such like groups not only thought that eating meat was unhealthy but immoral.
When food got scare they soon forgot how immoral it was.
Should food problems arise in the future for whatever reasons I am sure many who shout loudest about eating meat being immoral will be at the front of the queue for their ration of bacon.
