So I have a PS3 phat 40gb for some time now I bought it used last year and the last owner just watched blurays on it.I read more and more about YLODS not that I am looking for it but I do see it because more and more old consoles die.
What are the chances for the 40gb model without PS2 support to get it?
Can I somehow find out when it will die? I mean does it freeze several times before this happens or can it also be a few years without any problem/freeze and then sudden death? Can I somehow find out wheter or not the heat that comes out of the PS3 is to hot? compared to room temperature?
I read that the thermal grease is shit on the PS3 and thats why it dies? What PS3 model has non-shitty thermal grease?
Should I open my PS3 and replace the thermal grease? Do you know a great tutorial for doing it?
Is this one okay? I use it for all my computers etc.. (I use it because its not conductive at all)
I know its stupid but I somehow am scared to touch my PS3 now LOL.
