This is a sales site so im sure your focused is on the 3DS-Vita marketshare difference, but Sony priorities shouldnt be to worry about the 3DS and MH4 but to combat the problems that it has in front of them or to plan to exit the space. Focusing on MH or 3DS gap only takes focus off what they need to do.

While it's true, it just doesn't look like they know what to do. With current lineup, Sony basically gives up on VITA for holiday 2012. Unless that's part of their plan...

Vita has plenty of saviours as well, just not many announced ;-P. Vita is doing badly, but so was the PS3 and Sony cut the price back then but haven't done so for the Vita. When they do, we'll see Vita sales rise and more and more devs getting on-board. And nobody has Capcom in their pocket

PS3 was never doing as bad as VITA is doing now in Japan and it got a price cut 11 months after launch. In additon, the gap between Wii and PS3 is never as wide as the one 3DS and VITa has right now. I wonder how much wider the gap needs to be before Sony announced those saviours that you are referring to.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
