Aside from Soccer vs. NFL, every one knows Europe follows American culture, so we won't even debate that fact. The only place where they won't follow the US trends, are territories that are known for being more "xenophobic", like Japan, who will never embrace Xbox. It won't matter however, and Sony from here on out is locked in 3rd place. MS will continue separating itself from Sony, because they have taken over the US. That means more Americans will "wise up", and follow their friends, going with the more powerful Microsoft brand vs Sony's fledgling brand. As this perception and trend increases, it will affect Europe, NO QUESTION about it. buts Its only my (humble, worthless) opinion, & you all are free to disagree. |
The similarities between Europe and NA aren't as strong as you might think. In the early years of this generation, the 360 was outselling the PS3 in Europe. However, in the later years, the PS3 began to outsell the 360. This shows that Europe went from Pro Xbox to Pro Playstation the gen, which is actually the opposite of the trend in America.
