Yeah its a bit unfair seeing as the 3DS has been on the market for almost a year longer. Its the Vita's 8 month in the West, so lets compare it to what the 3DS had by its 8 months in the west.

3DS: Street Fighter 4, Zelda: OOT 3D, Dead or Alive, STARFOX 3D, RE: Mercinaries

VITA: Uncharted GA, Gravity Rush, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid HD collection, Marvel vs Capcom 3

If we were to extend it to the end of the year then it would look like this.

3DS: Mario Kart 7, Mario Land 3D

VITA: Street Fighter x Tekken, Assassins Creed Liberation, Ratchet and Clank, PS All stars, COD: Declassified. Unfortunately we don't know if any of these games are good yet.

Mario Kart 7 and Mario Land 3D are 2011 releases I thought and the Vita games you listed are 2012 releases none of the 2011 holiday releases (mostly cause they were all Japanese only back at the time I guess).

3DS Holiday 2012 would actually look like this (excluding Pokemon Black2/White2)
-Paper Mario Sticker Star
-Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
-Harvest Moon 3D A New Beginning
-Rayman Origins
-Inazuma Eleven Go 2 (Japan)
-Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney (Japan)
-Epic Mickey Power of Illusion

PSVita Holiday 2012 would actually look like this (excluding the already released games prior to this posted day)
-Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation
-Persona 4 The Golden
-Street Fighter X Tekken
-Ragnarok Odyssey
-Silent Hill Book of Memories
-Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified
-Playstation All Stars Battle Royale

From this list, I would say the Vita's holiday line up is really good, better than 3DS Holiday lineup imo.

Only bad thing that I see about the Vita this holiday is the fact that all the releases are way too close to each other and the fact that there arent any December releases at all for the Vita. They could pushed back Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation all the way in December, would of helped the sales for the game itself imo since by that time Assassin's Creed 3 (PS3/Xbox360/PC/Wii-U) will mostly be done and over with by most gamers and interest for a side story would of been more sought after. Other than that fact the only other thing that is holding back the Vita is major marketing and pricing issues.

Only worthwhile games I see for the 3DS are Professor Layton Miracle Mask and Paper Mario Sticker Star while in Japan Professor LaytonVSAce Attorney and I guess the Inazuma Eleven Go 2 game which isnt saying much. Of course this is obvious since Nintendo seem to be mainly focusing on the Wii-U this holiday and not the 3DS.

Animal Crossing is coming to the 3DS this year too.
