Tekken 6 existed only as an Arcade game long before it came to consoles and even then they released it with the Bloodline Rebellion update included on PS3 and Xbox360.

But Namco doesn't give the same treatment to Soul Calibur and Tekken. Soul Calibur doesn't get arcade releases anymore.

Doesn't matter though to disprove my point does it ?
SCII came out on arcades first. Got 4 updates and got then ported to consoles with the latest update. Tekken came out on arcades first, got 1 update and was ported on consoles with said update.
Neither Soul Calibur IV, V nor Tekken 6 got such a big update after their console release that was only available through paid DLC.

First of all, Tekken 6 was released late because it was going to be a PS3 exclusive. Then they decided to port the game to X360. When the console versions were going to be released the BR update was already in the arcades months before, so they added it to the game. If the game launched earlier Tekken 6 BR would have been DLC.
Soul Calibur IV and V didn't get a big update because they don't care. They didn't patch the infinite combos, to begin with...
