Defective? Perhaps. But genes? Not based on that argument. Humans today do a lot of things that conflict with what we were 'made' to do, but that doesn't mean genetics are the cause. We often learn behavior to conform to society which conflicts with what we were made to do.

So you're saying homosexuals are defective as people?  That is not cool.
