It's not about the sales, it's about the corporate profit and loss on those sales.   If they are still taking losses (which they did last quarter), that's a bad thing for a company looking to move into the next generation where costs are going to be high again.

If they are taking losses now I don't think it'd be logical to attribute it to PS3, how could it possibly be losing money right now? It's PS4 R&D and maybe Vita losses.

Which actually goes to show that PS3 isn't doing nearly as well as Sony needs it to do right now. We can only hope that the PS4 will turn things around for Sony
