Okay. But in what way weakness? Is God's strong need of attention and devotion a weakness from the perspective of a believer or from the perspective of a potential-but-not-yet-believer or from the perspective of let's say an atheist who as "an outsider" judges different religions by their ethical frameworks? |
Well, I guess it also is what makes him strong, as some people are willing to do almost (with great emphasis on almost) everything in the name of God. But I used the word "weakness" because I find it the main reason why people should not I want to worship him: It would require them to let go of everything that they love, in case he wanted them to do so.
I should point out though that I am certain most Christians (and believers of a similar god) would not kill their families even if God told them to. People love their family more, which is not what God wants. God want you to love him more than anything else.
I should also point out that I am talking about God as he is described in the Bible.
