My experience with Pokemon Black 2 so far (up until Virbank City gym):

- The game's UI is a much improved version over the one at Black/White. Personally fits my tastes much better.
- It's a moderate challenge if you pick Snivy as your starter. Lots of Fire/Bug/Poison types early on and lots of status effects as well, makes it a challenge to farm when your team gets constantly Poison/Burn/Paralyzed
- The Medal system is a nifty "achievement" system to track your progress through the game and your milestones. A nice gimmick for the newcomers to the series.
- Didn't enjoy the removal of the post-battle Poison effect. Your pokes no longer take damage per steps, which will make future Nuzlocke runs that much easier.
- Auto-ask for Repel replenish is a time-save.
- Animations and sprites seem to be a tad better.
- Battle musics are much, much better, especially Gym leader, Story-specific battles and last pokemon boss theme.
- Being able to catch a wild Riolu is nothing short of amazing. No longer need for long and boring resets until you hatch a proper nature one/good IV one.
- A shame that challenge mode isn't unlocked from the get-go, would like to see an added layer of difficulty in the game.
- The Nintendo WFC Genesect give-away should be locked until you're able to progress at least until later gyms. Receiving the Legendary pokemon, at level 15, when all your pokes are level 5 or below, can really break the game for those who will exploit it. (Can see a lot of "I completed Challenge mode with ease" while pumping Genesect).
- Lackluster offer of Water-type pokemon, at least up to this part of the game. And no, Psyduck isn't a viable choice no matter what.

So far, i'm loving the game, it's an overall improvement from the previous games.
