They may have dumped Sony because Sony forced them to publish a game that was clearly incomplete and hadn't had the bugs worked out to try and fix their software draught. That said, the last good game they made was Rogue Squadron 2 some 7 years ago, so I doubt Lair would have been good anyway. Probably wouldn't have been awful though.
