I kind of like Romney as a moderate republican, and would like to know more about some of his economic plans. However, one of the major problems with the party system is that the party would try to run Romney, and I just do not like a lot of the ultra-conservative ideals. I'm also not convinced Romney actually does understand anything at all about people who make under $250k a year. In most cases, I would just take pandering to the wealthy as just that, pandering, but it seems almost everything he does benefits the rich more than anyone else.

Right now, to me, the republican party is where all the crazies live. Religious nutjobs, gun nutjobs, and the incredibly selfish all gravitate there. That makes it very hard to trust any republican candidate. They have all these extremist groups to please.

So, I would probably go with Obama, despite his lackluster performance in the economic area. I don't believe either candidate would do much at all to turn things around, but rather just hope they turn around on their own so they can take credit. The things that need to be done will never be done, not as long as congress is owned by special interest groups.

Also, from what I understand about Romney's medical plan, it would keep people from going to the doctor. Early detection would go bye-bye, which means the ultimate medical tab would skyrocket.
