A bit confused about what some users are arguing about.

I think the game could have been more successful.

We should consider, if Namco/From Software didn't consider the game successful would they have ported it to PC? Would they have decided to release downloadable content if the game was not successful?

Namco orignally assured fans there would be no downloadable content, and I think the success of the game allowed them to rethink that decision.

At the same time, this game being a Sony exclusive could have generated feedbacks a multiplatform game couldn't. Sony might have advertised the game more. And I think exclusivity is also very good marketing for a game.

I love the game, its maybe the best game I have played this generation, and I hope it makes it to 2 mil sales. The developers took everything that made Demon's Souls good and made it spectacular. I can't wait for the DLC.

One user also mentioned the difficulity of the game, I think From Software acknowelged they want to try something easier, and I hope they do. I would love to see them focus on telling a story rather than focsung on making the game harder. The story in Dark Souls is one of the most intelligently writtent stories this generation.

I have another opnion about the "downloadable content".

The DLC just exists because the PC port... to make the dudes buy the PC game too... it was exclusive to PC but a lot of fans hated that and Nanco changed and now they are to release the DLC in every plataform.

The PC port is just a cheaper choice to try to sell more units of this game because they are not satisfacted with the sales in 360/PS3 version.

The sales is not good for a multiplaform game... even 2M is low for multiplataform game... for exclusive 2m is fine but there are a lot of cost to develop a multoiplaforma game.

That's what I think.
