As a Sony fan this gen I do not mind when games go multiplat. Games that jump exclusively from one platform to another then another are the problem. It dilutes the fanbase and imo usually leads to a game series demise. Games that jump from one platform to another and stick with the new one for a while have less such issues.
I don't think hogged is the correct word. Nintendo for the last few gens made is especially difficult for multiplatform publishers to includes its consoles in their releases. Gamecube was by far the 'closest' to its competitors but still had enough shortcomming that cripled multiplats on it.
People shouldn't shed tears, they should just enjoy their games.
