"Famous" does not equal "best". They're only famous to us because we're primarily English speaking, which, as I said before, is a lousy excuse for liking it. If this world were primarily French speaking, for example, you can bet we'd know Molière better than Shakespeare. Even if you could justify the idea that poems in English are better (which, in my limited, but somewhat significant experience, they certainly aren't), that could still just be because of English's widespread-ness and not because the language is inherently beautiful in some way.
