EA has revealed that Fifa 13 has become the biggest video game launch of 2012. It achieved this feat by selling over 4.5 million copies worldwide in the 5 days since launch, and finishing as the top-selling game in at least 40 different countries.
Some of the staggering numbers for Fifa 13 include an 800,000 person peak of simultaneous players online, 66 million online sessions, 600 million minutes of play, and 1.23 million copies sold in the UK within 48 hours (becoming the 2nd game in history to sell 1 million copies in the UK in 1 day).
1.23m in the UK is amazing! Plus ~800k(?) in North America.
