Not that I think it will happen, but I guess you could always swing the sword with the second analogue stick. Same obviously goes for pointing and aiming controls.
When it comes to things like controlling the bird, I don't see how it would make sense to exclude motion controls though. Sure, it would work, but the gameplay would be extremely stale. I guess that's the price you would need to pay if you really want to remove integrated controls.
