I certainly hope they do, considering smartphone/tablet gaming is becoming more and more relevant - Gameloft (kings of rip-offs) is really killing in that arena and one of their most successful title is N.O.V.A., which is rip-off of Halo (though NOVA 3 is more like bastard child of Halo and Crysis 2). Gameloft is doing this with lot of successful IPs (CoD, GTA, GoW, Uncharted to name a few) and truth be told, some of them are actually pretty good, all for $6.99 or less. So if they can make high production games for phones/tablets, and sell them at that price I hope Microsoft (and Sony, while we're at it) can do it too.
(oh, and before someone jumps the gun and claims they are rip-offs, hence lower price than "originals", Gameloft is owned by one of 2 brothers that are founders (and owners) of Ubisoft - Gameloft's games based on Ubi's IPs are also in that price range)

Great post.  Thanks!

People seem to forget that games like RAGE and Infinity Blade boasted very high production values and used the limited touch interface fairly effectively too.  Infinity Blade was a bigger financial success for ChAIR than Shadow Complex (and yes, I weep about that too).

The point is that smartphone gaming, for as prevalent as it is, still hasn't been taken SERIOUSLY by game publishers or developers.  MS has the most vested interest in taking it to the next level, but they haven't yet.  That's frustrating, but it's also the main raison d'être of this discussion.  They have not made one peep about WP8 gaming.  They have not revealed all of WP8 yet.

Am I really stretching here to think that gaming might be one of the final reveals (along with Xbox Music details) AND they may have a big title to show as well?
